These Airtable AI Terms (“AI Terms”) form a part of the agreement between you or your organization (collectively, “you” or “your”) and Formagrid Inc, dba Airtable (“Airtable”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) that governs your use of Airtable, such as Airtable’s Terms of Service or a master subscription agreement between you and Airtable (your “Service Terms”), and apply to your access and use of Airtable AI. Any capitalized term used but not defined in these AI Terms has the meaning set forth (for such capitalized term or its substantive equivalent) in your Service Terms. References to “Customer Data” in these AI Terms also mean “Your Content” (or similar term), as used in your Service Terms. References to the “Services” in these AI Terms also mean the “Airtable Products” (or similar term), as used in your Service Terms. In the event of a conflict between these AI Terms and your Service Terms, these AI Terms will apply.
“Airtable AI” means the features and functionality of the Services made available to you by Airtable when you purchase or otherwise enable Airtable AI that utilize generative artificial intelligence models. In consideration of your agreeing to and complying with these AI Terms, we grant you a non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable, limited right to access and use Airtable AI in accordance with these AI Terms.
In addition to complying with Airtable’s Acceptable Use Policy, you will not: (a) attempt to gain unauthorized access to Airtable AI or its related systems or networks; (b) access Airtable AI to build a competitive product or service, including foundation models or other large scale models; (c) include any Prohibited Information in Input (defined below) or attempt to generate Output (defined below) containing Prohibited Information; or (d) support any third party’s attempt at any of the conduct restricted in this section. “Prohibited Information” means (i) information under regulatory or contractual handling requirements (e.g., Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards); (ii) government issued personal identifiers; (iii) biometric identifiers; (iv) health information subject to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 or similar regulations; or (v) any data constituting “sensitive personal information,” “sensitive data,” “special categories of data”, or similar terms defined under applicable data protection laws.
You may provide or make available prompts, data, text, or other input to be processed by Airtable AI (“Input”), and receive data generated and returned by Airtable AI based on the Input (“Output”). Input processed by Airtable AI and the resulting Output are your Customer Data. When you use Airtable AI, you are solely responsible for the development, content, operation, maintenance, and use of Customer Data. You will ensure that Input and your use of Airtable AI and Output does not: (a) violate any applicable law; (b) violate these AI Terms or your Service Terms; or (c) infringe, violate, or misappropriate any of our rights or the rights of any third party. You further represent and warrant that you will comply with the applicable Third-Party AI Provider (defined below) policies available here, which may change from time to time.
You acknowledge that due to the nature of machine learning and the technology powering Airtable AI, Output may not be unique and Airtable AI may generate the same or similar output to you and a third party. You should not rely on factual assertions in Output without independently fact-checking their accuracy; Output that appears accurate because of its detail or specificity may still contain material inaccuracies. Airtable AI cannot dynamically retrieve information, and Output may not account for events or changes to underlying facts occurring after the relevant model was trained. Output should be evaluated for accuracy and suitability for your use case, including by employing human review of the Output. Airtable AI and Output are not intended for use in, or in association with, the operation of any hazardous environments or critical systems that may lead to serious bodily injury or death or cause environmental or property damage.
Your use of Airtable AI does not grant Airtable any right or license to use or share Customer Data in a manner that is inconsistent with your Service Terms unless otherwise agreed by you. For clarity, Airtable does not use, or permit others to use, Input or Output to train the generative artificial intelligence models used to provide Airtable AI.
Third-Party AI Providers (defined below) will not (a) log Input or Output for human review, or (b) save or retain Input or Output. Third-Party AI Providers may retain and use metadata associated with Airtable AI usage solely for billing, safety, and compliance purposes.
To the extent your Input contains Personal Data (or similar term) as defined in any applicable data processing addendum, you instruct us and our subprocessors to process such Personal Data for the purposes of providing Airtable AI and the Output, subject to our Privacy Policy and any data processing addendum we have with you. By enabling Airtable AI, you consent to our use of the third-party AI providers as subprocessors providing applicable AI services, as listed at airtable.com/subprocessors (each a “Third-Party AI Provider”).
Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in your Service Terms, Airtable may suspend your access to any portion or all of Airtable AI if (a) Airtable reasonably believes or determines that your use of Airtable AI is in violation of these AI Terms or poses a risk to Airtable AI or the Services, (b) a Third-Party AI Provider requests such suspension, or (c) a Third-Party AI Provider has suspended or terminated Airtable’s access to or use of its services or products required to enable your access to Airtable AI.
Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in your Service Terms, Airtable does not make any warranty regarding the availability or uptime of Airtable AI, and Downtime of Airtable AI will not be included in the Uptime Commitment calculations.
Airtable may provide you with a version or feature of Airtable AI that is not generally available as part of an alpha, a beta, a limited release, a developer preview, or another similar term (“AI Beta”). Such Airtable AI features (“AI Beta Features”) might contain bugs, errors, or omissions. AI Beta Features are provided to you for testing purposes only, on an “AS IS” basis, without any warranty, liability, indemnity, or performance obligations. AI Beta Features are not subject to any support commitments. AI Beta Features might never be made available for general use or otherwise be provided in a future version of Airtable AI or the Services, and we may discontinue AI Beta Features, or revoke your access to AI Beta Features, at any time for any or no reason, in our sole discretion, without any liability to you. Discontinuing AI Beta Features, or making AI Beta Features inaccessible to you, may have the effect of making some or all of your Customer Data inaccessible to you.
Except as expressly stated in these AI Terms, these AI Terms do not grant you any rights or licenses to Airtable’s or its licensors’ content or intellectual property, by implication or otherwise.
Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in your Service Terms, we may modify or update these AI Terms from time to time, so you should review this page periodically. In such cases, we will update the ‘Last Updated’ date at the top of this page. If the changes are material, we will provide you with email notice of the changes at least thirty (30) days before they go into effect. Your continued use of Airtable AI after any change to these AI Terms becomes effective constitutes your acceptance of the new AI Terms. If you do not agree to any part of these AI Terms or any future AI Terms, do not use or access (or continue to use or access) Airtable AI.
