Airtable Supplemental AI Terms for Health Information

The following additional terms apply solely to the extent you or your organization (collectively, “you” or “your”) elects to use Airtable AI (as defined in the Airtable AI Terms) in connection with HIPAA/CMIA-enabled Services:
1. Capitalized terms used but not defined in these Supplemental AI Terms for Health Information have the meaning set forth in the Airtable AI Terms or in the applicable Health Information Exhibit, Business Associate Agreement (BAA), or other equivalent HIPAA/CMIA agreement between you and Airtable.
2. You are solely responsible for the development, content, and integrity of all Inputs for Airtable AI, including without limitation for matching Inputs with Outputs such that the appropriate Output is returned to the appropriate recipient or patient.
3. Except as otherwise expressly provided herein, you shall not, and will not allow any of your Permitted Users to, use Airtable AI to engage in the practice of medicine, as a substitute for professional medical advice, or in any manner that is overseen by or requires clearance or approval from any applicable regulatory authority. For clarity, use of such Airtable AI for non-clinical research, scheduling, or other administrative tasks is not restricted pursuant to this subsection.
4. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary herein:
- 4.1. If you use Airtable AI powered by OpenAI, LLC in connection with the HIPAA/CMIA-enabled Services, then you shall ensure that only qualified, licensed professionals are permitted to use the Output, and shall permit such professionals to use the Output only for Healthcare Activities. For the purposes of these Supplemental AI Terms for Health Information, “Healthcare Activities” shall mean medical practice, billing, coding, claims processing, and clinical research. You shall ensure that all such professionals: (a) receive appropriate training to use Airtable AI for Healthcare Activities as described herein; and (b) maintain any required licenses and/or certifications.
- 4.2. If you use Airtable AI powered by Anthropic, PBC in connection with the HIPAA/CMIA-enabled Services, then:
- 4.2.1. Airtable AI may only be used for charting, billing, coding, claims processing, or clinical research, and must not be used for patient-provider interactions, patient diagnosis, or treatment purposes.
- 4.2.2. You shall not, and will not allow any of your Permitted Users to, add patients, plan members, or their families or employers as Permitted Users or guests to any applicable HIPAA/CMIA-enabled Services.
5. You shall (a) test Airtable AI for accuracy and limitations of the Outputs, (b) disclose the limitations of such Outputs when sharing such Outputs within your organization and/or with third-party recipients, and (c) not use Airtable AI to make fully automated decisions involving critical processes or the risk of loss of life, property, or which have a significant impact on an individual’s legal rights.
6. It remains your responsibility to ensure that your use of the Services is compliant with HIPAA and other applicable law. This shall include, without limitation, (a) where the Services are configurable, ensuring such configurations are set to comply with your obligations; and (b) managing and retaining logs and audits in accordance with applicable law.
7. You shall disclose that Outputs were generated using generative artificial intelligence models and not by a human.
8. You shall not use the Services or Outputs as a medical device.
