IBM® watsonx™ Additional Terms

These IBM watsonx Additional Terms (these “watsonx Terms”) apply to your use of Airtable AI powered by IBM watsonx, pursuant to requirements from IBM. These watsonx Terms form a part of the agreement between you and Airtable that governs your use of Airtable’s products and services, including the Airtable AI Terms (your “Service Terms”).  Terms used but not defined in these watsonx Terms have the meaning set forth in your Service Terms. In the event of a conflict between these watsonx Terms and your Service Terms, these watsonx Terms will control. These watsonx Terms may change from time to time, so please check back regularly for updates. 

1. Limited Rights

Nothing in these watsonx Terms, the AI Terms, or your Service Terms authorizes you to use watsonx or any foundation model separately from Airtable AI. 

2. Geographic Restriction

You agree not to access or use Airtable AI powered by IBM watsonx from the following regions: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, Syria, Belarus, Crimea, and the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhia (Zaporizhzhia) regions of Ukraine (collectively, "Prohibited Destinations"). In addition, you may not access or use Airtable AI if your organization is a majority-owned subsidiary of any entity located or headquartered in any Prohibited Destination; or (ii) if your organization is majority-owned by citizens of the Prohibited Destinations, or majority-owned by entities headquartered in any Prohibited Destination. Airtable reserves the right to modify this list at any time, as required by IBM, and it is your responsibility to ensure compliance with this clause.

3. Limitation of Liability

THE SUPPLIERS OF WATSONX DISCLAIM ANY AND ALL LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL AND OTHER INDIRECT DAMAGES AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF NON-INFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. THE COLLECTIVE LIABILITIES OF AIRTABLE AND ANY THIRD PARTY SUPPLIERS OR LICENSORS ARE SUBJECT TO THE LIMITATION OF LIABILITY IN YOUR SERVICE TERMS.

4. Permitted Data

If any Customer Data could be subject to governmental regulation or may require security measures beyond those that Airtable has undertaken pursuant to your Service Terms, you will not provide, allow access to, store, or input such Customer Data in workspaces where Airtable AI is enabled. You are responsible for not including any data in Customer Data that Airtable AI powered by IBM watsonx is not designed to process. You are responsible for assessing if Airtable AI powered by IBM watsonx, including its security features, functions and certifications, is appropriate for personal data and other regulated Customer Data. For clarity, you may process the following types of data as Customer Data:

  • Personal data excluding ​​any data constituting “sensitive personal information,” “sensitive data,” “special categories of data”, or similar terms defined under applicable data protection laws 

  • Financial data such as usage metrics and market movements (e.g., historical stock prices)

  • Non-personal health data such as aggregated data across a population (e.g., data on large scale epidemics)

  • Non-personal criminal data such as general area crime rates

The categories of individuals whose personal data generally are or can be processed within Airtable AI are:

  • Your employees (including temporary or casual workers, volunteers, assignees, trainees, retirees, pre-hires, and applicants)

  • Your affiliates' employees (including temporary or casual workers, volunteers, assignees, trainees, retirees, pre-hires, and applicants)

  • Your (potential) customers (if those (potential) customers are individuals)

  • Employees of your (potential) customers

  • Your business partners (if those business partners are individuals)

  • Employees of your business partners

  • Your visitors

  • Your suppliers and subcontractors (if those suppliers and subcontractors are individuals)

  • Employees of your suppliers and subcontractors

  • Your agents, consultants, and other professional experts (contractors)

5. Privacy and Security

The privacy and security standards here are applicable to the use of Airtable AI powered by IBM watsonx. These standards are subject to change by IBM, so you are advised to check this page regularly for updates and modifications.
