Information Services Group recognizes Airtable as a standout vendor in its Next Generation App Development Solutions report.

The 2022 ISG Provider Lens™ Next-gen ADM Solutions global report estimates that the worldwide market for low-code/no-code development platforms is valued at $15 billion dollars today and is expected to quadruple in the next five years. The report names Airtable as a “Rising Star” with a promising portfolio and high future potential.

The report highlights low-code tools' ability to deliver measurable benefits in speed, convenience and cost. ISG found that app creation with low code tools takes only five-to-ten percent of the time that it would take to create similar software with Javascript and that it costs enterprises 70% less to create custom apps than it would to have an engineer to create the same software from scratch.

According to ISG, “Rising Stars have promising portfolios or the market experience to become a leader.” The report finds that, “Airtable is a no-code provider that takes pride in user stickiness through a seamless experience, high-grade synchronization capabilities and easy to understand functionalities.”

The low-code/no-code market is still in its infancy,” said Prashant Kelker, partner and lead, ISG Digital Sourcing and Solutions. “Companies are just beginning to democratize software development so groups outside of IT can safely build and scale technology solutions.”

ISG describes Airtable as an “intuitive platform with a shorter learning curve: Airtable’s no-code platform is easy to decipher in terms of what input can lead to the desired output. Moreover, the overall paradigm is easy to understand – in a connected app built with Airtable, the data layer is shared across teams, the logic layer can trigger adjacent workflows, and the interface can be customized for any team, all underpinned by the same underlying logic and data.”

The AirtableConnected Apps PlatformTM makes democratized software creation a reality for thousands of organizations. It’s easy for teams to create custom apps on top of shared data that reduce siloed work, increase productivity and get everyone moving in the same direction faster.
